Services

When you are writing for and about a particular industry, it helps just a touch if you actually understand what’s going on and what matters.

You can go ahead and hire a PR firm and spend days explaining what you do and what actually matters to your constituency. Or you can hire me, and hit the ground running.

I don’t know everything, but I have been around the digital signage block about 3,000 times now, so I kinda sorta have a grip on it. I understand what might matter to clients, and also what is painfully overused, extraneous or dumb. For the record, I don’t do “leading edge” or “revolutionary.”

I work closely with clients and get to the core of their marketing and communications needs, and help get their message focused and compelling. You can make the same noises as the rest of the pack, or you can differentiate yourself and actually stand out from the mob.

I offer something very different – writing that is engaging and tuned to the voice and attitude of your company, as opposed to a gush of blabbering corporate-speak. If you need to be friendly, engaging and casual, I can do that. Need to be technical and buttoned-down? I can do that, too, but not in a way that will make it risky for readers to then operate heavy machinery.

SPEED AND QUALITY
In another life, I was an editor at a major daily newspaper, in charge of a large team of writers. Everyday, I faced highly-demanding deadlines to review, edit and polish dozens of stories while retaining the accuracy of the content and the “voice” of the writers. That’s not easy work, I can assure you, especially when some of my university-trained writers seemed to have Martian as a first language.

I bring that experience to this work with pressDOOH, turning around polished material on very short notice, when required. I have had calls in the morning about press releases, and they’ve been out the door that afternoon.
