Clients
I am working with a pile of different companies, on a nicely wide range of interesting projects. I don’t talk about who I am working with, because that might freak out a client or three, but I can certainly shed a little light on the sort of work I am doing. I have roughly 30 clients but always bringing on more as projects spark up and finish.
WRITING … busy, busy
- I wrote a full 20-plus page guide for how to optimize content for a big display manufacturer and its lead design firm
- I’m quietly ghost-writing a blog for a DOOH network client
- A major technology company engaged me on a very large project that soaked up most of my time, but will result in something the entire industry will be interested in reading.
- I am in the throes of reworking the wording in the marketing materials and on the Website of a large consulting firm active in the DS sector, as well as banging out pres releases about some of the great work they’ve been up to.
- I just did a couple of detailed white papers for a very cool technology that has matured to a level it will start popping up in wireless retailers all over the place, and also buffed up the copy for the firm’s revamped Website.
- I did a white paper for a DOOH firm active in the grocery sector’s that’s in the latest Platt Retail Institute quarterly.
- I just did a technical and business argument for a client, through a publisher.
- I’m doing some writing for a client through their PR firm.
- I put together the press and positioning statements for an in-store digital start-up.
- I have done a series of documents for the new release of one of the software majors.
- I just did all the writing and Web development (I can get my hands dirty in HTML and CSS if need be) for a new consultancy.
- I’ve been writing for my own blogs (three of them), and just did an advice piece for the Digital Signage Association’s member site.
- I buffed up all the content on a PC reseller’s Web presence.
- I’m doing the sell sheets, a couple of white papers and press for another software major.
THINKING
- I have finished a detailed competitive analysis and made business and marketing recommendations to a firm quickly emerging in an underserved subset of the industry.
- I am working with two separate companies, one on how to break into the North American market, the other on sorting out the viability of the business model, and technology options. The work involves marketing assessment and some sorting out of who their competitors really are, versus the obvious but not necessarily right ones.
- I analyzed the marketing approach and go to market strategy for a fast-growing software company.
